Most schools receive 30 weeks of musical tuition in a year over three terms. This works out as an even 10 lessons per term and in most cases I bill as such. However, terms are not of the same length. Each school will vary when they allow me to start and finsh tuition, but in most cases the year runs along the lines of
| Term | lessons received | billed for |
| Michaelmas/ Autumn | 12 | 10 |
| Spring | 10 | 10 |
| Summer | 8 | 10 |
| Total | 30 | 30 |
This is not always true, for example at St Dunstans College this year I note that the Michaelmas term is 13 weeks long, but will expect the summer term to only be 7 weeks long. Either way it will always total 30.
I hope that this makes sense, and as I have to send out over 100 invoices per term, I am sure that you will understand that I can not change the billing process to suit each parent. I thank you for your co-operation in this.
The above is for self billing schools and does not include JASSPA or Holy Trinity schools
Many thanks
