Brass Festival

April 25th - 30th 2010

Monday 26th April

We shall start the 'Solid Brass' recording project on Monday 26th April, recording your favorite tunes during the lesson time. Some of which will be featured on this website.

There will also be performance oppotunities during assembly throughout the week.

Wednesday 28th April

BRASS COMPETITION

John Edney, professor of trombone at the Trinity College of Music, previously trombonist at the Royal Opera House, ovent Garden and my teacher (!) will be adjudicating. Prizes to be won as well as House points!

Friday 30th April

Concert in KGH at 6pm featuring the Brass ensemble and a visit from one of Britain's greatest trumpet soloist Crispian Steele-Perkins

he evening will also feature a masterclass with Crispian give one or two tips to our very own Nick Smith. There will also be a chance after the concert to meet the great man. (Crispian, not Nick)
